One with The Father and One with The Son.

During a quiet time with God (YHVH) this week, I contemplated the parable of the vineyard Manager who gave his workers the same reward for a short days work, a medium and and a long days work (Matthew 20). I wondered why Jesus spoke out this parable. I believe I was given insight by Holy Spirit. The 'one' denarius given to every worker of the vineyard is symbolic of the 'oneness' we receive as we work God's Kingdom work. We have been saved and delivered to be a servant and work for God our Father. As we work for God, however long or short a time in our lives (whether we devote our lives from a child or as an aged person), we become more like The Son, like God himself, as we give and lay our lives down for Him; we become one. The one denarious stood out to me due to the fact that in the Hebrew language: 'echad' means something more than in English. 'The Lord our God is 'one' or 'echad'. His reward to us is this 'oneness' with Him. When we give our laid down lives to His work we are becoming more 'one' with Him;we fully belong to Him. His vineyard needs tending, people need care, tending and the fruit needs harvesting. Let us be about His work in His vineyard. Being one in Him is our greatest reward and everyone receives the same reward: His redemption, His new identity of wholeness, His widsom from above and eternally more.
